On the 8th of December 2006 a youth club was set up in Claregalway.
The youth club is on every Friday night at 9:00 until 10:30 in Claregalway
Community Centre.
We recently joined Foroige which links most of the youth clubs in Ireland
together. To do this we had to elect a committee. We elected this committee
democratically, which means we (the teenagers) chose our own leaders. The
committee members are as follows:
Chairperson -Owen Commins
Secretary - Nicola Roache
Treasurer - Alison Fahey
P.R.O. - Adam Miller
Others - Paul Cormican & Amanda Doyle
We recently went on a trip and went bowling. We thoroughly enjoyed going bowling and hope to go on another trip soon.
We also had a Karate demonstration night, a Texas Hold’em Poker night, a karaoke night and the girls had a beauty demo night. We finished on May 4th
with a barbeque and D.J.
Youth Club will start again on Friday 5th October
Youth Club is for anyone from 1st year-3rd year. New faces are always
welcome, but membership is limited!!!
